‘Is Mitt Minding The Store?’
Election 2012 piece by Aaron Goldstein (1/31/12)

Mitt Romney’s performance in last Thursday’s GOP debate in Jacksonville was widely praised for his assertiveness against Newt Gingrich and it may have effectively neutralized the former House Speaker’s victory five days earlier in South Carolina. If Romney earns a decisive victory in Florida, it could prove to be the turning point in winning the Republican nomination. But his debate performance should have instead raised a big red flag.

Correctly Framing the 2012 Elections
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo (12/29/11)

As the nation lurches into the 2012 election season, the propagandists of the liberal media have gone into high gear. Their singular job is to prevent the American people from correctly assessing the precarious condition of their country, what needs to be done about it and, most dangerously of all, who among the major Republican contenders could best assume the helm of the nation’s government in order to implement a proper course of action.

Evidence, finally, of Democrat naivete
Useful Idiots piece by Gary Krasner (12/22/11)

Democrats created what they thought was a good wedge issue in foreign policy, and since about 2006 or so----after the Iraq war became sufficiently unpopular----they advanced it in the form of the mantra, “we must talk to our enemies.”

The Correct Answer
Foreign Policy piece by Gary Krasner (12/11/11)

The ABC News candidate’s debate has just concluded.  I will give the correct answer to one of the questions.

Topeka, Kansas, Unified School District 501 Places Sexual Deviancy on Its Curriculum
Edukshun piece by Paul A. Ibbetson (11/26/11)

What part should schools play in the personal development of our children? Most parents naturally expect teachers and administrative staff to assist their children in learning important skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic, but we now know a child’s development goes far beyond the basics at school. Upon closer inspection, most parents recognize that schools often teach children additional skills, such as how to interact with others, follow rules, think critically, and in many cases, develop career aspirations for what their Mom’s and Dad’s hope will be a bright and happy future. All this instruction is positive and benefits our children. However, there is more still that students will learn.

Please, MR. President, Take A LOOOONG Vacation!
  ObamaNation piece by J. D. Longstreet (8/19/11)

The only time I feel really safe is when the Congress and the President are recessed and/or out of town.  That is not an original statement.  Someone said it long before I—and that makes it even weightier, or lends it more gravitas, if you please.

Liberalism’s “New” Strategy: The Same Old Lies
Election 2012 piece by Christopher G. Adamo (8/18/11)

Perhaps the most profound quality common to liberals is their ability to keep straight faces (or even look gravely serious) while spewing the most hysterical and laughable lies. In this manner we have heard them in recent years frantically pontificating about how “global warming” would surely end life on this planet as we know it, unless of course they were allowed to grow government, encroach on our time honored freedoms, and raise our taxes.

Worse than Obama? Wall Street faces disastrous new threat …
  Progressivism piece by OffSite (8/17/11)

As the London riots continue to spiral out of control, a group of American radicals are planning a “day of rage” targeting Wall Street and U.S. capitalism.

Regulation Business, Jobs Booming Under Obama
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (8/16/11)

If the federal government’s regulatory operation were a business, it would be one of the 50 biggest in the country in terms of revenues, and the third largest in terms of employees, with more people working for it than McDonald’s, Ford, Disney and Boeing combined.

Un-College Funds
Edukshun piece by Bruce Walker (8/14/11)

Soon millions of students will be headed to college at a huge cost to their parents and themselves.  Americans are obsessed with college.  Dopey proposals like the Dream Act(1) assume that illegal aliens who get a college degree in America somehow become more valuable as legal residents here.  But it is not just the left which is bewitched by in the incantations of academic hucksters, conservatives have created scholarship funds(2) for the children of those who have fallen in the fight against global terrorism and state governments in very conservative states(3) have created programs to help students go to college.

Religion Bad, Science Good - An Argument for Fools
Life piece by Michael Bresciani (8/14/11)

My recently published piece entitled “Premiere of Discovery’s ‘Curiosity’ - Shameless Secularism not Science"(1) has created no small stir among both the religious and the scientific community. While I never intended for that to happen it has become one of the greatest lessons of my life.

Kill the moderators
Political Debates piece by Gary Krasner (8/13/11)

All of these moderators are horrible.  The dumb-downed cable news and network news organizations should not host them.

UK anarchy is the fruit of socialism
  Socialism piece by OffSite (8/12/11)

London, England - This past week has shook the UK to its core and the usual playbooks have been opened yet again. The media searches for the disadvantaged black youth to parade in front of the cameras, then counters it with the same black disadvantaged youth getting their act together and condemning the violence. The politicians are busily touring the affected areas keen to parade their professional bleeding social hearts in front of the cameras.  What this week has shown is the moral failure that results when the political philosophy of socialism imbeds itself into a society.

Evangelicals’ Image Problem
Society piece by Guest: Rusty Wright (8/11/11)

God should have sued Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson for defamation, says New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof.

ABC Whitewashing History: No Ciggies No Whites Only in New Early 60s-Based ‘Pan Am’ TV Series
History piece by Warner Todd Huston (8/11/11)

Remember back in the early 1960s when blacks could get any job they wanted in the American airline industry? Oh, and remember back then how no one smoked cuz it was really, ‘really’ bad for you and stuff? Yeah. No one else does, either. Well, maybe not no one(1). Big Three Network ABC seems to remember it because that is how they are envisaging how the world worked back in 1963 for its new TV series about airline stewardesses entitled “Pan Am.”

Breaking! Seanator Mark Hatfield Dead at 89
History piece by Guest: Austin Miles (8/8/11)

Mark Hatfield, a high profile United States Senator and Governor of Oregon, died yesterday, Sunday, August 7, 2011 at a Portland residence. He had become increasingly frail for the last couple of years. He was as much known for his Christian faith as he was as a politician. This writer got to know him through our frequent appearances together on The PTL Club, the international Christian TV program out of Charlotte, North Carolina, hosted by Jim and Tammy Bakker.

The Left Has No Humanity for the Tea Party
Progressivism piece by Aaron Goldstein (8/8/11)

When one considers the casualness with which left-wing politicians and media figures uses words like “terrorist”, “jihad” and “Wahhabis” to describe the Tea Party one cannot help but wonder what shapes such attitudes in the first place. (1)(2)(3)

Obama’s New CAFE Standards Will Cost Us All More Money
Progressivism piece by Warner Todd Huston (8/7/11)

The Obama administration has been touting new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards to be imposed on America’s automobile manufacturers saying that it will save all Americans money at the pumps. Unfortunately, there are all sorts of hidden costs of which the administration isn’t noting, costs that will drive up the price of driving in multiple ways for all of us.

‘Palestine - Is Obama Honoring The Bush Pledge?’
Middle East piece by Guest: David Singer (8/6/11)

A report(1) this week claims that President Obama has now decided to honor the terms of a letter(2) given by former President George Bush to former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on 14 April 2004.

It Is Tea Party Time In America
TEA Parties piece by Thomas D. Segel (8/6/11)

Harlingen, Texas, August 5, 2011: If there was ever a time when this country needed the combined strength of citizens who believe in supporting the Constitution, reducing national debt, controlling unsupportable spending and defending the security of our borders, that time is now.  Both major political parties have proven to be totally incapable of correcting the nation’s plummeting destructive course and virtually every person holding national office has shown themselves to be unworthy of their titles or future public support.

A Declaration of Independence
Progressivism piece by Robert R. Owens (8/6/11)

It has happened just as foretold.  The Progressive Republicans have joined with their Democrat fellow-travelers and once again sold our inheritance for a bowl of promises.  We voted for an end to the out of control spending and what did we get?  3.5 trillion(1) steps closer to the abyss.  It’s time to admit that when you fall off a cliff it doesn’t matter much if you were pushed or if you walked.  The fall might not be so bad but that sudden stop at the end isn’t so good.

Tolerance and Diversity: America’s Experiment with Dishonesty
Society piece by Michael Bresciani (8/3/11)

Freedom of choice, free speech and endless opportunities were once the phrases that stood foremost in the thinking of Americans and anyone in the rest of the world who entertained a dream of coming to America. These words have morphed from their denotations, to their present connotations with great speed, but never more so, than in the last quarter century.

NAACP and EPA would inflict heat prostration and death
Energy piece by Guest: Innis, Jackson (8/1/11)

This kind of “environmental justice” we can do without - From New York, Washington and Atlanta to Chicago, St. Louis and Dallas, America is baking in a furnace. As millions swelter and gasp, they thank their lucky stars for air-conditioned cars, homes, offices and other places of refuge. And for the reliable, affordable electricity that makes AC possible.

Obama’s “Leadership” Style is Classic Liberalism: No Vision + Utter Incompetence = Total Failure
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (7/31/11)

Things are so bad now in America that we have to ask - Could Barack even pull-off being Mayor of McDonald-Land? Barack’s critics have been proven essentially correct in their initial analysis, that he had no leadership experience nor any apparent bent towards such. But consider to the degree in which his lack of leadership has been factually established in every scenario so far.

Palestine - Ending the Pretending, Facing the Facts
Middle East piece by Guest: David Singer (7/30/11)

The debate in the Security Council this week on the situation in the Middle East was the last before the opening of the sixty-sixth session of the General Assembly - affording the United States an opportunity to state its position and issue a warning to those thinking of pushing for the recognition of a Palestinian State in September.

America’s Current Fiscal Crisis In Perspective
Progressivism piece by Christopher G. Adamo (7/28/11)

Behavioral counselors overwhelmingly agree that people cannot break destructive habits without first being made to recognize the harmful nature of their actions, thereby accepting the responsibility and consequences for them. The same is true of societies and ultimately, governments. Unfortunately, even with an abundance of worldwide chaos serving as proof of the disastrous repercussions of liberalism, America’s indoctrinated leftists are at once too arrogant and too ideologically blinded to concede their errors and change course before society around them reaches a point of no return.

Obama Wants Massive Stock Sell-off
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (7/26/11)

Why is the Obama administration publicly warning about a U.S. default, while at the same time privately reassuring U.S. banks that a default won’t occur?

The New York Times Finds Its Poster Boy for White, Right-Wing Christian Terrorism
MSM piece by Aaron Goldstein (7/25/11)

When it came to light that Anders Behring Breivik was responsible for the heinous acts of terrorism in Norway which, as of this writing, claimed the lives of 76 people last Friday The New York Times wasted no time in putting forward a narrative.

EPA Wasting Tax Money All Over World
  EPA piece by OffSite (7/25/11)

The top Republican Senate voice on the environment blasted a $718,000 U.S. grant to China to set up environmental standards there as “inconceivable” at a time of financial crisis.

Embracing Defeat in the Debt Ceiling Debate
Politics piece by Guest: Michael R. Shannon (7/23/11)

You may recall during the failed fight over imposing term limits on members of Congress the Stasis Caucus argued that the country could not afford to deprive itself of the “leadership” and “experience” of veteran legislators.

Sister Wives: The Concubines of the Cult of Kody Brown
Society piece by Paul A. Ibbetson (7/22/11)

If you want to see another blatant example of social activism at the expense of traditional marriage, go no further than The Learning Channel (TLC). Part of TLC’s knowledge-enhancing program lineup is the show featuring polygamist Kody Brown and his ever-growing, Utah-based harem of “Sister Wives.” The show is spun as a unique look at a non-traditional family that faces the same struggles as regular folks and manages to make it through life with strong bonds of love and respect. That sounds really nice doesn’t it? The truth of this dysfunctional group and their attempts at TV stardom are much darker, and much more dangerous to traditional American culture.

Writing about Children’s Rights while the New Dark Ages Descend
Social Engineering piece by Guest: Alexander Nussbaum (7/21/11)

This is a short article meant for a conservative venue, about the evolution and failed history of a longer article originally meant for a humanist venue. In 1998 I started writing an article about the rights of children. I was then teaching a course that covered adolescent psychology. So I was lecturing college students the standard textbook material that the task of adolescence was identity achievement- a unique identity that, yes, included a sexual identity, and would allow for self-fulfillment. I compared this in my mind to my own miserable high school years, as I had to gone to an all boys orthodox yeshiva. I wrote a bit about my school on a previous American Daily post, so one sentence from that suffices, “ ‘You have no rights, only obligations’ the Rabbi repeatedly drums into us.”

One Solution to Stop Some of Obama’s Union Pandering Labor Board Rulings
Unions piece by Warner Todd Huston (7/21/11)

We’ve been talking for the better part of the year about how the Obama administration is using its powers to regulate labor and business relations to attack Boeing aircraft manufacturer for attempting to open a new manufacturing plant in North Carolina. Fortunately, there is one proposed law floating around in congress that would stop some of the abuse of power that Obama is indulging at the behest of big labor unions. It is called the Secret Ballot Protection Act. We need to urge congress to pass it.

Obama’s Presidency is a Threat to America
ObamaNation piece by Guest: Kevin Cardin (7/19/11)

As the country burns, he fiddles. He claims historic legislative triumphs, but there is no victory here. It is a downright tragedy. Take a gander at universal health care, which President Barack Obama banked his likely to be one term presidency on.

America’s ‘Other’ Rising Deficit - Which we also can’t afford
State Of The Onion piece by Michael Bresciani (7/18/11)

Is America merely a Plutocracy that can be whipped into line by juggling the wealth or as the Obama administration supposes; redistributing the wealth, raising the debt ceiling? Oh, that it were all that simple.
