‘Is TEA Party A Party Or A Movement?’

No one asked me to volunteer my thoughts on the subject, but I will do it nevertheless since this subject is very important. We are in a very delicate situation right now. From one side we do not want Republicans to continue enlarging government, lose our freedoms, pay for entitlements and so on. We do not want to side with “Liberal and Progressive Republicans.” On the other side the 2010 elections are of unbelievable importance. If Obama continues to have a majority it will be a clear signal for his comrades in arms to continue shaping America into a Socialist state. We can’t allow that.

Taking into consideration what I said above this is what TEA Party (actually all of us conservatives) will in my opinion do:

1. Evaluate each potential candidate and make sure public understand why we prefer one to another. Maybe have a site with our evaluations and opinions about candidates state by state, district by district. Not official opinions of the “central committee” but opinions of people who know the person and who now his real opinions and intentions.

2. Fight within the Republican party for the nomination of the right candidates.

3. Offer right candidates our support both financially and men power.

4. Let party bosses know in no uncertain terms that we will not be enthusiastic about “Progressive” candidates and they are destined to lose or have a very very uphill battle.

5. Let each conservative to decide what he/she personally want to do - go to voting booths, give money and time to Progressive candidates if such candidate wins Republican party nomination, or stay home and watch from the sidelines.

It is very possible that the 2010 elections are the most important elections of our life time. We can’t split the more conservative votes at this point. This is what liberals would want and they are working hard to push us to make wrong decisions. If TEA Party decides that it is a third party, it will lose me and tens of thousands of others, who will blame it for Socialism that will be build on ruins of the conservative movement. 

I am sure that within the movement will be those that will try to use it for their personal advantage and will advocate the formation of a separate party. I do not believe that those people are for us. I believe they are with us, but for their own selfish reasons.
