The USA In Better Times
  The Republic piece by Malcolm T. Hedges

Taking most everything into consideration the 1950’s and early 1960’s were the peak in The Republics previous history.

There was the Cold War and Korean Conflict/Police Action/War that were negatives but generally The Republic was prospering as was its people.

It was a time for general appreciation that the FDR Depression had evaporated and the inventions by necessity of WWII brought great benefits to the general public.

Political and Social unrest on the “American Street” was minimal - most people were just enjoying their lives.

B4 the 1950’s the USA was plagued by economic issues, growing pains and war.

After JFK was assassinated in 1963 things started to go downhill. President Johnson went wild with a Socialist Progressive agenda.

By no means was the 1950’s and early 1960’s period perfect but I would suppose it was a “lull before the storm”.

We still had public schools that actually taught students instead of concentrating on indoctrination and political correctness.  General public moral values were still valued and personal responsibility for actions and welfare were generally accepted.

Some will say the 1950’s and early 1960’s period was “Pollyannaism” but I suggest it was a pause before the open ascension of the radical Leftist and Progressive movements in the US.

To be sure the Leftists and Progressives were hanging around the 1950’s and early 1960’s but not yet comfortable with “coming out of the closet”.

The ObamaNation is the Leftists and Progressives truly running wild. Supreme Ruler Obama is a “Radical Progressive Bolshevik"(1) whether The Republic will survive his attack is in question.
