It is truly remarkable that Barack Obama has dropped over 30 points in the polls the past few months, despite the fact that late night comedians (O’Brien, Fallon, Leno and especially the immature Letterman) REFUSE to tell jokes about the president.

Of course, this is not really political, but rather white guilt/fear of “offending” a (half) black man; but it’s still appalling and unfair. Imagine the opposite, which would never occur.

History shows that the president, for decades, Democrat or Republican, has been the number one fodder for late night shows. Think Clinton, and surely Bush most recently.

Not now, though, it appears. It’s unfortunate too, because there is so much material available:

No leader in US history has made more hilarious & ignorant gaffes in his first few months than this Empty Suit we call “president.” Few, if any, are reported by his supporters in the mainstream media.

For quick example, this ETV report on last night’s opening of Leno’s new show:

“Leno began his opening monologue with a softball joke about West and Swift sharing a root beer with President Obama in the White House but otherwise stuck with mostly stale jokes about the cash for clunkers program and former President Bush).”

Bush? Still?

Of course, a bunch of secular, progressive, over-educated Harvard and UCLA-educated twenty-something writers won’t poke fun at their Messiah.

Just to name a few gaffes from Obama’s mouth (there are hundreds of others:

-The USA has 57 states

-Austrian is a language

-DVDs of his speeches are appropriate presents to the British PM and an iPod to the Queen

-A tornado kills 10,000 people when the death count is actually 12

-Arkansas is closer to Kentucky than Illinois

-The Americans (and his grandfather) liberated Auschwitz

-His mom and dad got together because of Selma

-Afghans speak Arabic

-The Cairo apology speech, written by a 27 year old, that drew moral equivalence between the Holocaust and “suffering Palestinians”

-Over-reacting to the Gates/Cambridge incident, immediately playing race and blaming the white cop

-A fly over photo-op for Air Force One near Ground Zero is smart

-Being silent when the Iranian people revolt against a Hitler-style election

-Talking amicably with Chavez and other rogue people but ignoring and castigating Israel!

-The backwards logic in Honduras

-Then there’s Biden believing FDR was president in 1929 and TV existed...Eric Holder, Napolitano, the original corrupt cabinet that mostly resigned (Daschle, Van Jones, Geitner, Sunstein, Axelrod, Emanuel, et al)
