CONVENTIONAL WISDOM, or IGNORANCE

Stuck in a box of conventional concepts most ‘progressives’ and many conservatives are hogtied to 100-year old industrial technology and political beliefs.  Handicapped by their lack of practical experience in conceiving, designing and building anything, America’s political elite is, by and large, attorneys that just compete for control of our tax dollars.  Specifically, trying to solve today’s automotive, banking, housing and transportation ills with hundred-year old concepts is akin to convincing radical Islamic ‘jihadists’ that they need to convert to Christianity.

Our lawyer-trained politicians propose tired regurgitations of socialist oriented programs that grow entitlements and extend control over the lives of taxpayers and businesses.  Foreign to our present crop of reigning bureaucrats is a cadre of wealth creators that can work with companies that produce products wanted by every country in the world while providing good jobs and benefits.  As such, contrary to emotion driven drivel, America does not need more unskilled illegal aliens.  Just as President Kennedy’s space-race program catapulted America into the transistor, integrated circuit and personal computer era, we need to solve our water problem.

Although not new the forty-year old concept of a high-speed rail line tying Los Angeles to San Francisco would save far more energy than Obama’s “Stimulus” approved Los Angeles to Las Vegas/Sin City line.  Building only one of the five needed “corridors” that will service Sin City and not New York to Washington D.C., Boston to New York, Chicago to New York and Los Angeles to San Francisco is a fraudulent error.  If history can still be used as a guide, the eight billion dollars set aside to build the Los Angeles to Las Vegas/Sin City high-speed rail line will be consumed by attorneys litigating right-of ways. 

Focused on fees that will be charged by legal buzzards associated with the Obama regime will predictably suck the life out of the high-speed Sin City-Los Angeles rail line, as they did with the Boston ‘Big-Dig.’ Perceiving Americans as imbecilic tax paying fools activist socialists and their legions of lawyers are arguably some of the least productive human organisms found on earth.  Ironically, cast as obstructionists by ’Politically-Correct Progressives’ in lockstep with mind numbing Marxist socialism, ‘conservatives’ have and will morally and technically continue to lead America forward.

Preoccupied, apparently, with assuring that he is at least a two-term president, Obama has wheedled himself an insurance policy in the form of his Stimulus Plan that will be used to buy votes in 2012.  Long before the next general election rolls around, the toxic assets that created the present recession will go away when Congress and Obama direct Fanny-May and Freddy-Mac to reduce mortgage rates to around 3%. Refinancing homes with 3% mortgage rates will put piles of money in peoples pockets that will erase the fear of a recession overnight.

Mister “I Won” has a trillion dollar piggy bank to pay off his ACORN buddies and finance his 2012 re-election effort.  Clearly, Mister “I Won” will be able to buy his re-election in 2012 through the ‘goodwill’ of the people and groups that he plans to lavish taxpayers’ money on from his Stimulus Bill.  Recent unbiased polls indicate that Mister “I Won” primary constituents are the 30 and under voters that consciously voted to spread their parents’ money around.  During the next 21-months leading up to the next general election, it will be entertaining to observe any chinks in the resoluteness of the 30 and under support for Obama’s undefined “Hope” and “Change.” In this comparative context, managing America is like owning and managing a professional baseball, basketball or football team.  Like everything in life, managers must rely on fundamentals and appreciate talent; one without the other spells doom.
