The Tea Party Convention: Baby Steps Toward Effectiveness
Elections piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (2/7/10)

The “tea party” groups vary significantly in agenda and interest.  The “Convention” was a good start at getting some sense of coordination and unity without a elitist bureaucracy being created.

Obama and Dems Steal our Money, Wreck Economy, Demand We Pay for it
Demercrats piece by Sher Zieve (2/7/10)

The Apex of Chutzpa has now been reached by Obama and his Marxist minions. Since they gained control of both houses of Congress in 2006, Democrat leaders have been on a hell-bent mission (both literally and figuratively) to plunder the wealth of the USA and suppress its people. And now, they want to raise taxes on all of us to pay for their theft and further place We-the-People into the bottomless pit of these leftists’ making! They have stolen from us, destroyed our lives and now expect us to pay them even more for the privilege of our having been destroyed. This is nothing less than being forced to dig our own graves.

‘The Unemployment Rate: Can It be believed?’
Big Brother piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (2/6/10)

The January drop of the ‘official U-3 unemployment rate’ has raised more questions as to its credibility.

Explore or Expire
  Bird-Brain Flu piece by J. D. Longstreet (2/4/10)

The Lunacy of no Luna Base! - The Russians are going to the moon.  The Chinese are going to the moon.  The Japanese are going to the moon.  The Indians are going to the moon.  The US is not going to the moon.

Lettuce Try To Review Progressivism
Progressivism piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (2/3/10)

In the United States, the term progressivism emerged in the late 19th century into the 20th century in reference to a more general response to the vast changes brought by industrialization: an alternative to both the traditional conservative response to social and economic issues and to the various more radical streams of socialism and anarchism which opposed them.(1)

The Gender Silent Majority
Social Engineering piece by Guest: Gordon E. Finley (2/3/10)

On February 1, 2010, President Barack Obama released his proposed budget for the coming year.  Most commentaries focus on debt, deficits, taxes, and unemployment.  With the trillions of problems in Obama’s multi-trillion dollar budget, however, it is easy to overlook his gendered social engineering approach to the budget process and its impact on boys and men.

Supreme Ruler Obama Has Revealing Backdoor Taxes Story Squashed
Information Police piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (2/2/10)

The piece “Backdoor taxes to hit middle class” was pulled by Reuters after Supreme Ruler Obama’s regime put pressure on them to kill it.

The State of the Nation: I am afraid
Police State piece by OffSite (2/2/10)

“As I look at America today, I am not afraid to say that I am afraid." - Bertram Gross, Friendly Fascism: The New Face of Power in America - Ominous developments in America have been a long time coming, in part precipitated by “we the people” – a citizenry that has been asleep at the wheel for too long. And while there have been wake-up calls, we have failed to heed the warnings.

State of the Obama Message: Blame Everyone but, the Dictator-in-Chief
ObamaNation piece by Sher Zieve (2/1/10)

Like some angry fop from the 15th century Court of one of the King Louis’, Obama’s now almost perpetually (and literally) upturned elitist nose-in-the-air precedes him most of the times he agrees to indulge in speaking engagements for his unwashed masses. As if the stench from the American people--his underlings--is just to much for his haughty and recently ‘refined’ community-organizing sensibilities to bear, let alone accommodate, Barack Hussein Obama is increasingly telling the world that he is above reproach. And--if one does not believe this bigger-than-life-being-in-his-own-mind--he is in the process of developing goon squads to remind you and keep you/us in line.

Did he Really Say What He Said
ObamaNation piece by Robert R. Owens (2/1/10)

Where to start?  After a state-of-the-union speech ranking among the longest in the last 45 years what was said?  Stay the course in other words.  Blame Bush, the banks, and Congress for any failures while taking credit for any success, scold the Supreme Court and lecture the rest of us.  If we aren’t smart enough to understand his brilliant plans he’ll just have to lecture us again.  He’s getting so repetitious I’m looking for my Headon so I can apply it directly to where it hurts.

The USA In Better Times
The Republic piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (1/31/10)

Taking most everything into consideration the 1950’s and early 1960’s were the peak in The Republics previous history.

Barack Obama’s Anniversary
ObamaNation piece by Guest: Kevin Price (1/31/10)

It seems much longer, but it has only been a little over 12 months since Barack Obama became the President of the United States. For those who oppose the radical shift in the way our country is governed, this administration has been frightening to watch. President Obama has pursued a fast track for socializing the greatest health care system in the world, has used government subsidies to control major parts of the US economy (even firing CEOs), has added to the deficit at levels equaling our entire national debt just a couple of decades ago, and has created international instability due to a foreign policy based on indecision.

Obama’s Supreme Court Slam Lowers Bar
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

Saul Alinsky, the spiritual leader of the left in his infamous book, “Rules for Radicals” taught the tactic, “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Fighting free speech
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

Like President Barack Obama we shudder at the practical impact of last week’s Supreme Court decision that lifts the ban on direct political expenditures by corporations and unions. Obama is worried the decision “will open the floodgates for special interests.” At the very least it will flood our TV screens with more political blather.

Where Clinton Turned Right, Obama Plowed Ahead
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

WASHINGTON - When President Bill Clinton faced a Republican uprising and a nation that turned deeply skeptical about his agenda, he used the 1996 State of the Union address to declare that “the era of big government is over.”

10 Things to Hate About the State of the Union
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

If there is a more painful exercise in American political life than the State of the Union address, it’s a well-kept secret.  Every year, millions of Americans tune in to the President’s annual remarks to a joint session of Congress either out of an obstinate sense of civic obligation or a perilous shortage of Ambien.  And every year, regardless of party, the President delivers the executive branch’s wish list in dutiful, if listless, prose while his congressional partisans see how quickly they can render the standing ovation meaningless.

Racing towards destination unknown
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

So it’s full speed ahead, even if nobody knows where we’re going. We can console ourselves that if we’re lucky we might not get there. That’s the main point of President Obama’s eagerly awaited assessment of the State of the Union. He said, as all presidents do, that the state of the union is pretty good on his watch, considering that George W. Bush, his favorite bad boy, bequeathed a sad-sack union.

Obama’s phony populism
  Socialism piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

A closer look reveals socialism - In the wake of Scott Brown’s stunning victory in Massachusetts and in an attempt to halt his declining poll numbers, President Obama is reinventing himself as a champion of the middle class. He seeks to be another Harry Truman: an economic populist who is willing to stand up to Wall Street and the big banks. His administration even has engaged 2008 campaign manager David Plouffe to revive some of the old Obama magic. Mr. Plouffe has advised Mr. Obama and the Democrats to “fight” for their ambitious domestic agenda: redouble efforts on passing health care reform, have the government “create jobs,” implement cap-and-trade legislation and impose another expensive economic stimulus plan.

Obama’s 17% unemployment
  ObamaNation piece by OffSite (1/29/10)

The president is full of it when he talks about creating or saving jobs. During his State of the Union address Wednesday night, he said, “Now, because of the steps we took, there are about 2 million Americans working right now who would otherwise be unemployed. ... Economists on the left and the right say this bill has helped save jobs and avert disaster. ... That is why jobs must be our No. 1 focus in 2010, and that’s why I’m calling for a new jobs bill tonight.” This is pure fiction. Job losses under President Obama’s watch have increased steadily without remission.

It’s Good for People to Make Money Because Then They Can Pay Taxes
  Taxes piece by OffSite (1/27/10)

(CNSNews) - House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D.-Md.) said today in his weekly press briefing that it is good that Americans are making money again because it means they can pay taxes.

A Fannie and Freddie Earmark
Welfare State piece by OffSite (1/27/10)

Chuck Schumer doesn’t think they’re losing enough money - Taxpayers may look at the unlimited federal credit line now enjoyed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and see disaster. But New York Senator Chuck Schumer sees opportunity.

Aid execs: Haiti food situation ‘grim’
  Disaster piece by OffSite (1/27/10)

Estimate emergency rations may be needed for more than a year - UNITED NATIONS - The director of the World Food Program says that two weeks after the 7.0 earthquake, the emergency situation in Haiti, especially the food supplies, “remains quite grim.”

New al-Qaida ‘center of activity’
Middle East piece by OffSite (1/27/10)

JAFFA, Israel - Iranian Revolutionary Guard units are actively working to train Hamas gunmen in the Gaza Strip, a senior Egyptian intelligence official told WND.

Americans finding it harder to feel ‘safe’
National Security piece by OffSite (1/27/10)

A new Zogby International poll shows substantially more American voters felt safer on commercial airline flights under President George W. Bush’s leadership than they do now, under President Barack Obama.

Obama’s loose grip on reality
Bird-Brain Flu piece by OffSite (1/26/10)

The state of the union isn’t what he pretends - President Obama’s response to the catastrophic political failures of his freshman year in office is to fight harder for more of the same. Presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett made the point explicitly on Sunday, asserting that the White House is “not hitting a reset button at all.” That reflects the kind of political savvy that handed the safest Democratic Senate seat in America to a Republican.

Hypocrisy on influence peddling
  DoubleSpeak piece by OffSite (1/26/10)

Lobbyists are either welcome at the White House or they’re not - President Obama angrily denounced the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in favor of free speech multiple times last week. In that case, the government sought the power to ban movies and books that mention candidate names within 60 days of an election. Mr. Obama and proponents of campaign finance reform believe such censorship is necessary to regulate money spent on elections.

America Needs Jobs, Jobs, Jobs…And More Jobs!
Socialism piece by Gordon Bishop (1/25/10)

Almost everyone seems to be waiting for President Obama to say or DO something—anything!—about millions and millions of people out of work who can’t find jobs.

Massachusetts Was Just the Beginning
The Republic piece by OffSite (1/24/10)

Feeling giddy now that the invincible Barack has been proven vincible?

Mass. Senate race is a sure sign Democrats should hold on to something heavy
  Elections piece by OffSite (1/24/10)

Voters in Massachusetts, a traditionally liberal stronghold, gave the Democrats their most devastating blow in ages by electing a long-shot Republican to the U.S. Senate. Just months earlier, New Jersey delivered a similar outcome in its gubernatorial election.

Pulling back the curtain on swine flu
  Health piece by OffSite (1/24/10)

Looks like the swine flu “crisis” has finally unraveled - just as I’ve warned right from the start.

Democracy Countdown
The Republic piece by J. D. Longstreet (1/24/10)

We have been ranting for some time now on the socialist takeover of the US government. If you are a regular reader of our frequent rants you know that we are convinced that the US is already committed to a socialist form of government replacing what is left of the democratic representative republic our founding fathers gave us with their blood.

Repudiation of the unholy trinity
ObamaNation piece by Henry Lamb (1/23/10)

The rebellion that swept across Massachusetts Tuesday should provide Washington’s unholy trinity – Barry, Harry and Nancy – with convincing evidence that the American people will no longer tolerate their tyranny.

‘Blue State - Red State Why?’
MSM piece by Malcolm T. Hedges (1/22/10)

The unofficial system of political colors (currently) used in the United States is the reverse of that in most other long-established democracies, where blue represents right-wing and conservative parties, while red represents left-wing and socialist parties.(1)

You miss the point, sirrah(Updated)
ObamaNation piece by Ari Kaufman (1/22/10)

Replying to a non-partisan story(1) about how Scott Brown’s win is a “blessing in disguise” for Democrats to wake up, readjust and reclaim their party from the radicals, a friend emailed me Wednesday afternoon. He ignored the article and instead focused on my addendum whereupon I noted that “As an American, I am cheering for the president to do the right thing.” He wrote back, “You do not cheer for Obama and NOBODY that knows you believes that comment. If Obama got hit by lightening (sic), then you’d cheer and cheer and cheer. That’s the funniest comment and biggest lie you’ve ever come out with.”
